Casual Friday - A Happy Birthday
TweetSo today I'm thankful for the opportunity to take over the post and communicate a personal initiative which I'd love for you all to get involved with.
For a long time now, I've been a big fan of the non-profit organization charity: water. The founders story is compelling and the story of the organization, their marketing, structure and success are nothing short of inspiring. The video above shares a bit of that inspiration and outlines the history of the September campaign.
It just so happens that my birthday is in September - the 14th to be exact. And so this year, I've taken up the challenge to give up my birthday and ask that instead of gifts, all my friends and family would consider contributing the equivalent of my age in dollars.
I launched this campaign on my Facebook last week but today, I wanted to broaden the net and ask all of you to consider joining in to become part of the solution to a problem that a billion people across the world face...a lack of clean, safe drinking water.
